New Orphan House Update
We’re so excited to announce the continuation of our new orphan house. A group of women in Cartagena organized a garage sale with the help of our main house helper, Caro and her husband. The garage sale benefited the towns of Turbaco and Turbana to provide affordable items to the community right before Christmas. Not only did the garage sale benefit the people of our surrounding towns, but they also used the money earned to purchase the doors and windows of our new orphan house. We have enjoyed watching God provide for each and every step of building the house. We are currently finishing up the insullation and ceiling of the new house. Next up we're hoping to tile the inside while a missions team is here next month.
We are nearing the legalization of our school here on the farm. We are thrilled to have our logos and paperwork completed and are now just waiting on everything to process through! We are praising the Lord for bringing us the tools and people necessary to complete this huge undertaking!
Late last year we were contacted by Eric from Living 127, an organization that provides hygiene and school supplies for orphanages around Latin America. We feel so blessed and grateful they’ve chosen to partner with us to eliminate some of the basic costs of running our ministry. A great benefit of this blessing is not only the supplies, but also that we've been able to put more finances toward other projects, mainly the new house. Thank you all for your prayers with our new house parents, Fabio and Emilce. They are fulfilling their calling and growing relationship with each and every boy the Lord has brought here. We can't wait to bring you our next update that will include an interview with Fabio and Emilce, how they and their family came to serve the Lord at El Nido de Gracia, and what they are doing for the Lord here at Colombia Grace Foundation.
Mike and Jeffy have been given the opportunity to attend seminary and not just learn and earn a degree, but also get to know more like-minded believers in Colombia. It's created a heavier workload for the two of them, so please keep them in your prayers!
Prayer Requests
March and April will be extremely busy months for the organization. Please pray for endurance and wisdom as we navigate the next couple of months with teams, appointments, and traveling.
Please pray for the continued provision on the orphan house. We are hoping to be able to purchase tile by the time the next team arrives so we can start tiling the new house.
Pray for continued relationship to build between the house parents and the children God has brought into our care.
Pray for wisdom, endurance, and grace for all those serving here at El Nido.
